A New Course just dropped! - And a very busy month.

Hello everyone,

We have big news! Our axe forging and throwing course in conjunction with “The Viking Games” has now been tried and tested and is going live! Bookings for this course will be available from November onwards! You will spend the morning with us at the forge creating your own throwing axe, then make your way 10 minutes up the road to our axe throwing friends to be taught how to use them to deadly effect. We have done our due diligence in the process of designing these throwing axes to give the best throwing experience when it comes to the throwing section for the course. These axes are durable and exceptionally effective.

Forge your pointed handle affectionately dubbed “the Stinger”

Grind your axe blades and points

Wrap your handle with para cord. Colour options will be available.

(Hopefully) Hit your target

Have a bloody good time.

We are very excited about this course and we think that you will all enjoy it immensely. Having run a couple of trials of the course, the response has been phenomenal.

More course related news comes from our “Introduction to MIG Welding” course. This course has proved very popular! Popular to the point that October has been completely fully booked for the course and with bookings already being made for the new year. Due to the popularity of the MIG welding course, we intend to explore more welding course options in the future. Watch this space.

In other IAStudios news, here are some of the other projects that we have been working on recently.

Dan has been working on toolsets sold as package deals for blacksmiths. Included in these package deals are: Cross pein and Ball-pein hammer, a selection of tongs, a block brush and a brass rule. These have proved popular for blacksmithing students at the nearby college but are not only suitable for college students. These package deals would make a great starting set of tools for any aspiring hobby blacksmith as well.

Tool packages will be available online soon!

Elliot has been spending his time working on an absolutely beautiful gate - or as he like to call it “a window for a hedge”, can’t get enough of windows that boy - which features a gorgeous floral design with two different types of forged flowers alongside entwining leaves. The form of the gate gives it a lovely biological look and it is going to be even more impressive once it is installed.

The gate attached to an affixed post to make sure everything is in-line and functions properly.

Joe has been finishing and installing the fixings made for displaying some works at the Wilson art gallery and museum in Cheltenham. There could be more museum jobs in the picture and as an avid history fan, he is really looking forward to it!

October has been our busiest month yet. We will have taught the most courses in a month we have ever taught whilst also having commissions coming in steadily. Cheers to being incredibly busy and that being a very good problem to have.
