Hello! We are IASTUDIOS, a small community of blacksmiths and metalworkers. Using all of our individual skills and strengths to come together and as a result we complete a diverse array of work.
We offer experience day courses in blacksmithing and welding, we conduct historical restoration work for Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings, we make bespoke commission pieces, we make tools, we have market stalls, we demonstrate and sell at festivals, heck one of us even runs the educational blacksmithing Youtube channel "Trust Me Ima Blacksmith".
The IASTUDIOS team really has something to offer for everyone when it comes to metalwork whether it's getting hands on with it yourself, purchasing hand-made British ironwork or learning about the craft online.
Blacksmithing courses form the soul of IASTUDIOS. We take our passion for the craft of blacksmithing and pass it on to you, keeping the traditional craft alive. It is our aim to spread this passion to as many people as possible.

With decades of blacksmithing and course teaching experience in our team, with 7 years being the minimum of any member of staff, all students on our courses can rest assured that they are being looked after by an experienced pair of hands.
At IASTUDIOS we have a firm belief in low student to teacher ratios, with this in mind our maximum class size per Blacksmith tutor is 4, ensuring quality and plenty of time per student in each class.
We have a courses tailored for people who would like to try out blacksmithing, we have courses for people who want to learn the techniques of blacksmithing or hone techniques that they have already learnt and we also have courses based around a specific product outcome. We offer group booking discounts for parties of 2 or larger and private one-to-one bookings for people who want to make something bespoke under our guidance that we don’t cover in one of our courses.
Don’t want/need our help but want to take advantage of our facilities? We also offer workshop space for rental. You may be a hobby blacksmith but need a bit more kit, or perhaps a blacksmithing student who wants more forge time. We can cater for you.
